Ford AODE/4R70W & E4OD Transmission Connector Pinout - Wire Colors & Functions

This document shows the transmission wiring harness connector pinouts for two Ford automatic transmissions: the AODE/4R70W and the E4OD. Each side includes a drawing of the connector face with numbered pin cavities plus a table listing each pin number, its wire circuit color code, and circuit function. The AODE/4R70W connector uses 10 pins, including Shift Solenoid #1 (OR/Y), Vehicle Power (RED on pins 2, 7, 8), Torque Converter Clutch (RB/OR), Transmission Oil Temperature (OR/BK), Shift Solenoid #2 (PU/OR), Sensor Signal Return (GY/R), and Electronic Pressure Control (W/Y on pin 10). The E4OD connector uses 12 pins, including Vehicle Power (RED pin 1, W/R pin 12), Shift Solenoids #1 and #2, Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid (PU/Y), Coast Clutch Solenoid (BR/OR), Transmission Oil Temperature (OR/BK), Sensor Signal Return (GY/R), and Electronic Pressure Control (W/Y pin 11). Certain rows are highlighted (Vehicle Power and Electronic Pressure Control circuits), and some pins in the connector drawings are shown blacked out (AODE pin 4; E4OD pins 6, 9, 10), which are not listed in the tables.
