1995 4.9L from F-150. Completely transplanted, including computer, air filter, y-pipe, & all accessories. 130A alternator, 1996 Bronco gas tank & pump. K&N drop-in.
Drivetrain:
1978 F-250 NP-435; original '83 NP-208F with around 350Kmi of HARD use; Six States rear d'shaft; rebuilt front d'shaft; '96 Bronco D44IFS with original rebuilt '83 diff 3.07; rebuilt Ford 8.8" 3.08; F&R antisway bars & Energy polyurethane bushings all around.
Notes:
The body tub is an '82, the tailgate is a '96, the doors are '80 & '85, the front clip is '84, and the camper shell is a '96 with a '94 Explorer roof rack & '82 sliding windows. The rear seat & dash are the original '83 parts, but the instrument cluster has been heavily modified with '88 fuel & volt gauges and a '94 PSOM. The front seats are mixed captain's chairs and the door panels are '93 XLTs with PM, PW, & PL, with '94 power mirrors. I've added autolamps, an auto-dimming compass rear-view mirror, aftermarket remote keyless entry, The CB, scanner, & radar detector are hard-wired and mounted overhead. Planned mods include auto-dimming brights, & 4WABS with Traction Control. The bumpers are my own design (mostly hand-built). The front includes a fold-down grille guard, energy-absorbing push bumpers, fog lights, 2 storage boxes, recovery points, a spoiler, & a winch mount. Currently, I have a Warn XD9000i, but I'm looking for a Ramsey RE10000 or RE12000X. The rear has an integral hitch receiver & 3 locking storage boxes.
The light spots are where I scraped some spots off the surface - maybe sap? They'll blend away after a little use.

The dealership (who repaired it the first FEW time...

The Y wire ties into the auxilliary lighting circuit (Y and Bk/Y) at a heavy splice inside the dash harness, which connects directly to the battery through a Br fusible link at the starter relay.

B4.JPG 3719 hits | 78.47 KB | Posted: 7/13/03 '80-96 rotor replacement requires removing the hub assembly & driving out the lug studs. On '93-96 Broncos only, the tone ring must be removed.
On '87-early '88 with factory (flange-style) manual hub locks, the hub-rotor is one piece.
