Hyundai Genesis Coupe Glass & Mirror Defogger Wiring Diagram SD879-1
Glass and mirror defogger wiring diagram showing windshield and rear defogger relays, defogger switch, and outside mirror defogger circuits.
This document is page SD879-1, "Glass & Mirror Defogger (1)," a factory-style wiring diagram covering the heated glass and mirror defogger circuits. Power comes from the E/R Junction Box LH multi-fuse block (HOT AT ALL TIMES): HTD GLASS (FR) 15A and HTD GLASS (RR) 40A, feeding the HTD Glass (FR) Relay (connector E63) and HTD Glass (RR) Relay (connector E62). A MIRROR HTD 7.5A fuse in the I/P Junction Box powers the outside mirror defoggers. The BCM controls the HTD Glass (RR) relay (pin 1 M02-D), receives defogger switch input (pin 16 M02-B), and an engine running input signal (pin 15 M02-A) referenced to the Charging System diagrams (SD373-1/SD373-2). The diagram shows the windshield defogger (connector E22, ground GE06), the defogger switch with indicator wired through the A/C control module (connectors M06 for manual A/C or M07-A for auto A/C, grounded via JM01 to GM03), the LH and RH power outside mirror defoggers (connectors D04/D14, joint connectors JDDRI/JDASS, grounds GF01/GF05), and the rear defogger (+) at connector F59 with a quarter panel ground. Wire colors (R, P, Gr, Y, B, R/O) and pin numbers are labeled throughout, with photo references for connector locations.

Frequently asked questions
- What fuses power the heated glass and mirror defoggers?
- The E/R Junction Box LH multi-fuse block contains HTD GLASS (FR) 15A and HTD GLASS (RR) 40A (hot at all times), and the I/P Junction Box has a MIRROR HTD 7.5A fuse for the outside mirror heaters.
- Which BCM pins control the defogger system?
- BCM pin 1 (connector M02-D) is the HTD Glass (RR) Relay Control, pin 16 (M02-B) is the Defogger Switch Input, and pin 15 (M02-A) carries the Engine Running Input Signal (see Charging System SD373-1/SD373-2).
- How are the outside mirror defoggers grounded?
- The LH mirror defogger grounds through connector D04 pin 11 to joint connector JDDRI and ground point GF01; the RH mirror grounds through D14 pin 11 to joint connector JDASS and ground point GF05.
- Which connectors are used for the rear and windshield defoggers?
- The windshield defogger uses connector E22 (pins 1 and 2, grounded at GE06); the rear defogger (+) uses connector F59 pin 1 with its ground at the quarter panel.
- Does the defogger switch wiring differ between manual and auto A/C?
- Yes. The A/C control module defogger switch uses connector M06 for Manual A/C or M07-A for Auto A/C, with separate ground paths (JM01 pins 5 and 3) for Auto A/C and Manual A/C.
