1984 Ford Bronco Rear Cross Sill Fabrication Sketch - 75" Tailgate Sill Plan

This document is a handwritten fabrication sketch/blueprint page from a shop notebook, uploaded to a 1984 Ford Bronco gallery. It lays out plans for building a rear cross sill (crossmember) for the tailgate area of the truck. Stated requirements are a piece 75 inches wide, 3 inches tall, and 7 inches wide with flange. Three hand-drawn views show the sill: an elevation view with dashed hole/spot-weld locations and 3" and 8" dimension callouts, a small cross-section detail measuring 3" by 6", a plan view showing the full 75" length with a 20" offset dimension and hole locations, and a rear view showing the sill positioned under the ribbed bed floor with two mounting holes. Bulleted notes state that a 5" wide base/top will be adequate, that mounting strength comes from spot welding to the tailgate posts and spot/welding to the rear bed, that the piece should be jacked into place and slid across under the body in one piece, that the tailgate post area should be cleaned up for good welds, and that the sill must match the outer edge of the tailgate.
