Ford 5.0L Engine Controls Wiring Diagram 24-4 (W/O E4OD/4R70W) - PCM & Injectors
Engine controls wiring diagram for 5.0L without E4OD showing EGR, air injection, canister purge solenoids and fuel injector circuits.
This is page 24-4 of a Ford factory-style wiring diagram covering Engine Controls for the 5.0L engine without E4OD or 4R70W automatic transmissions (i.e., manual transmission applications). The diagram shows the 12V relay-energized power feed (circuit 361, red wire) arriving from splice S122 on page 24-1, passing through connector C101 to splice S149, where it branches to power the EGR control solenoid (C180), secondary air injection diverter (AIRD) solenoid (C1023), secondary air injection bypass (AIRB) solenoid (C1022), canister purge solenoid (C171), idle air control valve (C1007), and all eight fuel injectors (connectors C190–C197) via splice S151. Ground/control-side circuits return to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM): 360 BR/PK to pin 33 (EGR), 190 W/O to pin 51 (AIRB), 200 BR to pin 11 (AIRD), 101 GY/Y to pin 31 (canister purge), 264 W/LB to pin 21 (IAC), and injector driver circuits 556 W to pin 59 and 555 T to pin 58, converging through splices S159/S160 and connector C185. A reader can identify wire colors, circuit numbers, connector IDs, splice points, and PCM pin assignments for the engine control solenoids and injectors.

Frequently asked questions
- What PCM pin does the idle air control valve connect to on the 5.0L without E4OD?
- The idle air control valve (connector C1007) connects to PCM pin 21 via circuit 264, a white/light blue (W/LB) wire.
- What wire color and circuit powers the fuel injectors in this diagram?
- Circuit 361, a red (R) wire, provides 12V relay-energized power to all fuel injectors, distributed through splices S149 and S151.
- Which circuits carry the injector control signals back to the PCM?
- Circuit 556 (white wire) goes to PCM pin 59 and circuit 555 (tan wire) goes to PCM pin 58, converging through splices S159 and S160.
- What is the EGR control solenoid circuit on this diagram?
- The EGR control solenoid (connector C180) is powered by 12V circuit 361 R and its control side is circuit 360, a brown/pink (BR/PK) wire, going to PCM pin 33.
- What connectors do the secondary air injection solenoids use?
- The secondary air injection diverter (AIRD) solenoid uses connector C1023 (circuit 200 BR to PCM pin 11) and the secondary air injection bypass (AIRB) solenoid uses connector C1022 (circuit 190 W/O to PCM pin 51).
