Suzuki Samurai EFI Wiring Diagram - EGR/EVAP Solenoids, Clutch & Shift Switch
Wiring diagram showing EGR/EVAP solenoid valves, ignition and starter circuits with clutch pedal position and shift switches.
This scanned wiring diagram page (uploaded as EFI4.gif, part of a multi-page EFI wiring set) shows portions of an engine control / starting circuit. On the left, a Bl/B (blue/black) feed supplies both the EGR Solenoid Vacuum Valve (connector C05) and the EVAP Solenoid Purge Valve (connector C06); their outputs run on Lg/W and Lg/Y wires through connector C10/E54 (pins 4 and 9) to the Engine Control Module at pins E34-15 and E33-25. ECM outputs on Y/B and B/Y wires lead to the A/C Amplifier. Two starter-circuit variants are shown side by side: variant [1] uses a Clutch Pedal Position Switch (connector E62, OFF/ON contacts) between the Ignition Switch (ST) terminal E42-6 (B/R wire) and the Starter (connector C04) on B/Y wire, passing through connector E54/C10 pin 7. Variant [2] (apparently for automatic transmission) routes the B/R feed through a Shift Switch via connectors C18/C07 before continuing on B/Y through E54/C10 pin 7 to the Starter C04. Wire color codes, connector numbers, and pin numbers are labeled throughout.

Frequently asked questions
- What wire color feeds the EGR solenoid vacuum valve and EVAP solenoid purge valve?
- Both solenoids are fed by Bl/B (blue/black) wires at pin 1 of connectors C05 (EGR) and C06 (EVAP).
- Which ECM pins do the EGR and EVAP solenoid control wires connect to?
- The EGR solenoid's Lg/W wire goes to Engine Control Module pin E34-15, and the EVAP purge solenoid's Lg/Y wire goes to pin E33-25, both passing through connector C10/E54 (pins 4 and 9).
- How does the clutch pedal position switch connect in the starter circuit?
- A B/R wire from Ignition Switch (ST) terminal E42-6 feeds the clutch pedal position switch at connector E62 pin 1; the switch output (pin 2) continues on B/Y wire through connector E54/C10 pin 7 to the Starter at connector C04.
- What connectors are used for the shift switch?
- The shift switch uses connectors C18 and C07, with B/R feed wiring and output continuing on B/Y through E54/C10 pin 7 to Starter connector C04.
- What wires run from the ECM to the A/C amplifier?
- Y/B and B/Y wires run from the Engine Control Module area down to the A/C Amplifier.
