This page depicts the ENGINE COMPARTMENT wiring, showing the battery, starter relay, starter, alternator, voltage regulator, electronic ignition module (exc. EEC), and three distributor pinouts (302, 351-400, and 302 distributors). It also includes emissions and carburetor control devices such as the MCU module (4-cyl only), EGO sensor, air by-pass and air divert solenoids, feed-back control solenoid, octane solenoid, carb choke control relay, electric choke, carb float solenoid, carb throttle solenoid/throttle kicker, idle tracking switch, engine vacuum switch, and VIP test connector. Lighting circuits shown include headlights, park lights, marker lights, fog lights, directional (turn) lights, and horns, plus the oil pressure switch and temperature gauge sender. Wire color codes are labeled throughout (e.g., LT GRN-BLK, RED-ORG, WHT-LT BLU, DK GRN-YEL) and multiple fusible links are identified near the starter relay. Feeds to the auxiliary battery/accessory relay and camper battery feed are also noted. A reader can trace engine-bay circuits by wire color and see which components apply only to specific engines (4-cyl only, GA only, EEC/ECC only).
