I power is routed to the courtesy lights, the dome light and the dome light in dome-map light (ll so equipped) I poweris through luse7 I the map light portion of the dome-map light ls operated through an integral switch Trouble-Shooting One or more lights '(but not all) fail to operate when the door is open or switch ls turned . t . I check for burned out bulbs I check lor ground at each socket It dome light and courtesy lights fail to operate . . . I check for power at lose 7 it lights tail to come on when elther but not both. of the doors are open . t . I replace the swttch at the inoperative side It the lights tail to come on when light switch is turned . . . I check lorgood connection at switch I ilconnectionOK replacellghl switch If dome and courtesy lights stay on when doors are shut .. I make sure lights are turned off at light switch If lights remain on . .c I close door I disconnect switch lrom other door If lights go out . . . I replace switch it lights still remain on . . . I reinstall switch I repeat test on otherdoor ll lights remain on after testing bath door switches . . t I replace light switch It the map light (if so equipped) falls to operate t . . I check for operation of dome light It dome light doesn't operate . . , I pedorm dome light tests as outlined previously It dome light operates . . , I check lor burned out or loose bulb in map light It bulb is OK . .. I check for conlinuity across map light swnch in the on position it there is no continuity. .t I replace switch assembly Glove Box Light Trouble-Shooting ll light does not come on when glove box door is opened t t . I check for burned out bulb I check lor power to switch repair as required lfthere is power. . . I checklorground at light It ground is OK . . . I replace switch Cargo Light How It Works . . . The cargo lamp . I is powered lrorn fuse 7 I operated by a B pillar mounted switch I the switch also operates the dome light Trouble-Shooting . . . It the cargo light switch tails to operate the cargo lamp, but the dome light comes on . t t I check tor burned out cargo lamp I check lorground at socket ll neither light comes on . . . I open doors I turn dome light on at light switch It dome light fails to come on . .. I check fuse 7 it dome light comes on . .. I check for continuity across cargo light switch in on position It there is no continuity . . . I replace switch bk wrrcw AND LthtT ma lGNTER
