I 987-!99l trucks must have the EEC Processor removed through the inner kickpanel area. I992 trucks must have their EEC Processor removed through the engine compartment. Follow the appropriate steps to continue the installation procedure. l987-l 99l EEC-IV Removal STEP 20: Locate the drivers side scuff plate. {drivers side door opening near the oor). (See Figure IO.) INSULATOR PUSH PIN FIGURE IO. KIC P NEl REMOVAL STEP 2|: Loosen and remove the stuff plate retaining screws. Remove the scuplate. STEP 22: Locate and remove the plastic push pins on the drivers side kickpanel. Remove kickpanel. (See Figure IO.) STEP 23: Remove the Processor insulator. STEP 24: Locate. loosen and remove EEC-N processor brackedbolr. STEP 25: Remove the production EEC-IV processor.
