1996 Ford Bronco Power Distribution Wiring Diagram - Circuit 54 LG/Y, Page 13-12
Power distribution wiring diagram for the 1996 Ford Bronco showing courtesy lamp and speedometer module circuits.
This is page 13-12 of the Power Distribution section of the 1996 Ford Bronco electrical wiring diagrams (labeled "96 Bronco"). It shows how battery power that is hot at all times passes through a 15-amp fuse in the fuse panel (continued on page 13-13) and travels on circuit 54, a light green/yellow (LG/Y) wire, to splice S214. From S214 the circuit fans out to multiple always-hot interior and lamp circuits: the right courtesy lamp switch via connectors C262M/C262F (pages 89-1, 89-3), the remote/keyless entry module via connectors C241 (pins 1 and 10) and C240 (pin 23) on page 111-4 (with-keyless-entry versions only), the glove compartment lamp via C292 (page 89-1), the main light switch via C273 pin D1 (pages 89-1, 89-3), the instrument cluster/programmable speedometer-odometer module (PSOM) via C252 (pages 60-7 and 64-1), and the engine compartment lamp via connectors C202F/C202M, C173M/C173F, and C1035 (page 92-3). A separate branch continues to connector C200 on page 13-13 for vehicles without remote keyless entry. The diagram is useful for tracing the courtesy/interior lamp feed circuit and its connector locations.

Frequently asked questions
- What wire color is circuit 54 in the 1996 Bronco power distribution diagram?
- Circuit 54 is LG/Y (light green with yellow stripe) throughout this diagram.
- What fuse feeds circuit 54 on the 96 Bronco?
- A 15A fuse in the fuse panel (hot at all times) feeds circuit 54; the fuse panel detail continues on page 13-13.
- What components receive power from splice S214?
- Splice S214 feeds the right courtesy lamp switch, remote/keyless entry module (with keyless entry), glove compartment lamp, main light switch, instrument cluster/PSOM, engine compartment lamp, and a branch to connector C200 (without keyless entry).
- Which connectors serve the remote/keyless entry module?
- Connectors C241 (pins 1 and 10) and C240 (pin 23), with the module detailed on page 111-4.
- How does power reach the engine compartment lamp?
- Circuit 54 LG/Y passes through connectors C202F/C202M, then C173M/C173F, then C1035 to the engine compartment lamp, shown on page 92-3.
