Ford Bronco Tailgate Power Window Re-Wire Diagram - Relays, 20A Fuse, Wire Colors

This document is a color-coded wiring diagram (credited "Copyright 2003 Ryan McCormick @ FordFuelInjection.com") showing a re-wired Ford tailgate power window circuit, uploaded as applying to a 1986 Ford Bronco. The circuit begins at a battery-hot feed protected by a 20 amp fuse using 10 gauge or larger wire (LB/BK wire color). Power feeds the master tailgate window switch (with UP and DOWN positions), which is grounded via a BK wire to ground point G701. The master switch outputs P/LG and P/LB wires that trigger two standard five-terminal relays (terminals 30, 85, 86, 87, 87a). The relays switch heavy 10 gauge power feeds down to the tailgate window switch, which is key operated, via P/LG, BK/W, and P/LB wires. From the key switch, a Y/R wire and a T/BK wire route to the tailgate power window motor, with the down-circuit passing through the tailgate latch switch (open when the tailgate is not fully closed) and returning via an R/Y wire.
