This document is a generic aftermarket gauge installation instruction sheet covering the installation of a mechanical oil pressure gauge. It provides a seven-step procedure: determining a routing path for the nylon tubing through the firewall (using an existing grommet or drilling a 3/8" / 9.5 mm hole with a purchased rubber grommet and shrink tubing for chafe protection), connecting the tubing to the gauge with a compression sleeve and nut, routing tubing through the firewall, locating the engine's oil pressure port and installing an adapter from the gauge kit if needed, connecting tubing to the pressure port adapter with a tube connector and compression fittings, securing the tubing away from sharp edges, moving parts and hot components, and finally reconnecting the negative battery cable, running the engine ~30 seconds, and checking for leaks.
