1994 Ford Probe Instrument Cluster Wiring Diagram - ABS, TCIL, Anti-Theft
Ford wiring diagram showing ABS and anti-theft indicators, illumination lamps, the ABS control module and central processing unit to the PCM.
This scanned wiring diagram page (part of a multi-page instrument cluster set labeled '94 cluster') shows circuits for several Ford Probe instrument cluster indicators. Power comes from the interior fuse panel (ROOM fuse, 15A, hot at all times) through connector C215 on circuit 84 BL/R, with switched illumination power on circuit 80 O (see Power Distribution, page 13-6, and Instrument Illumination, page 71-3). Inside the dashed instrument cluster box are the ABS indicator, illumination lamps, anti-theft indicator, and the Transmission Control Indicator Lamp (TCIL / O/D OFF). The ABS indicator ground path runs on circuit 400 BL/Y through C241/C206 and splice S295 to the ABS main relay (C122) and ABS control module (C223), both referenced to page 42-1. The anti-theft indicator runs on circuit 901 LG through C200 to the Central Processing Unit (CPU, C204, page 112-4). The TCIL runs on 624 BR/Y through C249, splitting by application: 824 PK/Y to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM, C256, page 29-2) for the 2.0L automatic, and 824 PK/GN to the Transaxle Control Module (TCM, C259, page 29-6) for the 2.5L automatic. Callout boxes explain each module's function, including that the TCIL indicates fourth-gear disengagement and may flash for monitored circuit faults.

Frequently asked questions
- What fuse powers the interior fuse panel circuit shown in this cluster diagram?
- A 15A ROOM fuse in the interior fuse panel (hot at all times, pages 13-5/13-6), feeding the cluster through connector C215 on circuit 84 BL/R.
- What does the Transmission Control Indicator Lamp (TCIL / O/D OFF) indicate?
- Per the diagram callout, it indicates that fourth gear has been disengaged and may also flash if monitored sensors/actuators or circuits have failed.
- Which module controls the TCIL on 2.0L vs 2.5L automatic Probes?
- On the 2.0L automatic, circuit 824 PK/Y goes to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM, connector C256, pin 51, page 29-2). On the 2.5L automatic, circuit 824 PK/GN goes to the Transaxle Control Module (TCM, connector C259, pin 9, page 29-6).
- What wire and connectors are used for the ABS indicator circuit?
- Circuit 400 BL/Y leaves the cluster at C241, passes through C206, becomes 400 PK to splice S295, then 400 PK to the ABS main relay (C122) and 408 PK to the ABS control module (C223), both on page 42-1.
- Where does the anti-theft indicator circuit go?
- Circuit 901 LG runs from the anti-theft indicator through connector C200 to the Central Processing Unit (CPU, connector C204, a solid state device, page 112-4).
