Ford F-250
1998 Ford F-250 Specs & Photos
The 1998 Ford F-250 sold that model year was the light-duty F-250, a higher-payload truck built on the tenth-generation F-150 platform (1997-1999) rather than the new Super Duty. Its engines were Ford's modular Triton V8s, the 4.6 L (281 cu in) rated at 220 hp and the 5.4 L (330 cu in) rated at 235 hp, driving through a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual. It came in regular cab and SuperCab body styles in two- and four-wheel drive. The separate F-250 Super Duty, on an all-new heavy-duty chassis, launched in early 1998 as a 1999 model and later took over the F-250 name.
