This document is a 1992 Ford truck and van front-end alignment specification sheet titled "'92 Alignment Specifications." It contains three main sections. First, a spindle arm stop angle table (kingpin vs. ball joint, in degrees) covering F-150 4x2 and 4x4, Bronco, F-250/350 4x2 and 4x4, F-350/F-250 HD 4x4, and F-Super Duty commercial/motorhome chassis. Second, a Front Wheel Alignment Specifications table listing average camber, minimum/maximum average caster, and toe settings (.8mm ±3.2mm / 1/32" ±4/32") for Bronco, F-150 through F-350 (4x2 and 4x4), F-Super Duty, Super Duty Strip, and E-150/E-250/E-350, plus side-to-side maximums for caster split, toe split, and camber split, and lean/dogtrack limits (wheel opening and axle centerline offsets). Third, a Front End Optimum Alignment Settings Chart giving camber average optimum ± range, caster average minimum/maximum, total toe optimum ± range, camber split, and caster split for 4x2 and 4x4 versions of Aerostar, Ranger, Explorer, F-Series trucks, E-Series vans, and Bronco. It also states vehicle preparation conditions for checking alignment (no driver/passengers/cargo, full fluids, stock equipment, correct tire pressure) and footnotes explaining that caster values outside the range can cause shimmy or wander/steering returnability concerns.

This document covers 1992, which may differ from this 1983 Ford Bronco.

Frequently asked questions

What is the alignment spec for a 1992 Ford Bronco?
The Bronco spec is 0.25° average camber, average caster between 2.00° minimum and 6.00° maximum, toe of .8mm ±3.2mm (1/32" ±4/32"), and a caster split maximum of 0.0°. The optimum chart lists camber .25° ± .5°, total toe .06° ± .25°, camber split .0° ± .5°, and caster split -.5° ± .5°.
What conditions must the vehicle be in when checking alignment?
No driver, passengers, or cargo; full fluids; no aftermarket equipment or body/chassis modifications; and all tire sizes comparable to original equipment and set to specified pressure.
What happens if caster is outside the specified range?
Vehicles exceeding the maximum average caster can experience shimmy concerns; vehicles below the minimum average caster may wander and have poor steering returnability.
What is the spindle arm stop angle for a 4x4 F-150 or Bronco?
36.0° (ball joint), or 34.0° with 10x15 size tires. There is no kingpin value listed for these 4x4 models.
What is the maximum allowed dogtrack (axle centerline offset)?
30 mm (1-1/4 inch) maximum axle centerlines offset; lean limits are 15 mm (5/8") at the front wheel opening and 20 mm (3/4") at the rear wheel opening and rear of pick-up box.
