L&L Products 429/460 Engine Mount Stands Install Instructions - 1980+ #04-0425

This document is the official installation instruction sheet from L & L Products, Inc. (Rowlett, Texas) for their 1980 & Newer 429/460 Engine Mount Stands, kit part number #04-0425. The kit contains four items: a driver side frame perch, a passenger side frame perch, a driver engine mount, and a passenger engine mount. The seven-step installation procedure covers safety precautions (approved safety glasses and proper safety equipment), removing the original engine from the stock frame perches, unbolting the stock perches and cleaning the engine compartment, installing the L & L frame perches using the original stock bolts torqued to approximately 50 ft-lbs, bolting the engine mounts to the 429/460 engine before lowering it into the frame perches, and finally torquing the engine mounts to 50 ft-lbs. A diagram at the bottom illustrates the L & L frame perches on the frame, identifying fastener part numbers including bolt N605932-S2, nut N620483-S2 (torqued 65-88 N·m / 48-65 ft-lbs), and nut and washer assembly 388049-S2, with the front of vehicle indicated.
